Quality & Testing

Where this is made, and what I require before it ships.

A supplement label tells you almost nothing about whether what's inside matches it. These are the standards I set with my manufacturer, in plain language.

Manufacturing and facility certification.

Velisoma products are produced by a contract manufacturer whose facility holds an NSF/ANSI 455-2 certificate from NSF International — the recognized Good Manufacturing Practice standard for dietary supplements — and whose formulas are produced in compliance with FDA cGMP guidelines. Certificates of Origin are available on request.

  1. NSF/ANSI 455-2 certified facility.

  2. Produced in compliance with FDA current Good Manufacturing Practice guidelines.

  3. California Proposition 65 compliance handled at the manufacturing level.

  1. A batch-specific Certificate of Analysis is available for every lot produced.

  2. Stock ships with roughly 15 to 24 months of remaining shelf life.

  3. Potency is required to hold through the expiration date, not only at the moment of manufacture.

Per-lot testing, and a potency rule with teeth.

The third point matters more than it sounds. Plenty of supplements guarantee their label potency only on the day they were made — which means the bottle you open six months later may contain considerably less than it says. I require the guarantee to run to the expiration date printed on the bottle.

The Product I Rejected

While building this line I looked at a probiotic blend from my manufacturer's catalog. Two things ruled it out. It delivered 0.75 billion CFU — an order of magnitude below what the research on this uses. And its potency was guaranteed at manufacture only, not through expiration, so the actual count at the time someone swallowed it was unknown.

Functionally it was a prebiotic being sold as a probiotic. It would have been easy to add, cheap to produce, and it would have made the line look more complete. I passed on it. That decision is the reason the current line is three products instead of four.

What I Don't Have Yet

Being straight about this matters more than looking finished.

Velisoma has not shipped its first production run. That means there are no lot numbers and no Certificates of Analysis to publish on this page yet — the standards above are what I have contracted for, not results I can show you. When the first lots are produced, the COAs go here, and you'll be able to request the document for the specific lot number on your bottle.

I'd rather tell you that than fill this page with certification logos and let you assume the rest.

Facility certification and cGMP compliance statements reflect the manufacturer's documented terms. These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. Velisoma products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
